1.  ´Take something at face value´ significa  acreditar de olhos fechados 

Meaning: to accept something as it appears to be rather than studying it more closely
 
    Ex:  1. I took the offer at face value, I didn’t expect that they might be tricking me.     

            2. He bought the apartment at face value– he should have researched.

2. ´Phase out´ significa  Meaning: to remove or stop using something gradually

Ex.   1. Our company decided to phase out unhealthy products..     

         2. The airline company will phase out the old aircrafts next year.
