Do you ever “sit on the fence”?

“To sit on the fence” means to delay or avoid making a decision

Ficar em cima de muro ou evitar tomar partido em conflito, discussão ou briga etc.

Ex.

1. She can´t sit on the fence any longer. Before stepping down as the CEO , she has to decide whether to go for a new CEO or go for a merger.

2. You either support the project or you don´t. You can´t just sit on the fence.
